Some of the things for children might be relevant to adults too. I'm wondering if some of these resources might help anyone with trust issues in developing better intimacy and intimacy skills. Just a thought ...
Love to all, Margie http://www.attachmentdisorder.net/Nurturing_Activities.htm http://www.focusas.com/Attachment.html#Help_and_Support http://attachmentdisorderhelp.homestead.com/services.html Arrgh - some of the stuff out there is really harsh and judgmental. Sorry about that. I'm trying to avoid it in the links I give. http://www.danceofattachment.org/Books.html http://www.amazon.com/Connected-Child-heal.../ref=pd_sim_b_5 http://www.theraplay.org/8400.html Looks like there might be some inter-relationships with Inner Child Therapy? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dyadic_Develo...l_Psychotherapy This book looks technical but might be particularly relevant for intimate partners: http://www.amazon.com/Attachment-Adulthood...49955762&sr=1-6 http://www.amazon.com/Healing-Parents-Help...9955762&sr=1-10 http://www.amazon.com/Safe-Place-Caleb-Int...9955979&sr=1-13 It seems like this might be a useful label to search for tools and resources under but at the same time one of those annoying labels that can bring up a lot of crap! Just my own thinking here ... kind of like Borderline Personality Disorder. Complex trauma makes a lot more sense to me and is more compassionate and recognisable as something done *to* us, not something wrong about us. But if you can find some tools for building trust, secure attachment and intimacy using this label I hope it will help! Got to stop looking myself now, but if you find anything good please don't hesitate to add it here. With love, Margie |
